Jackie Devereux PPSGFA, HonSGFA.

Past President & Honorary Member
of the Society of Graphic Fine Art

Greatly influenced by Japanese art as well as the light of southern France where she lived for over twenty years, Jackie’s work ranges from pure contemporary watercolour on a large scale, to expressive pen + ink, to delicate pencil and printmaking – all experimental in nature. Her work is unique, focusing as it does on her long time obsession with calligraphic shapes and the power of the white space, plus the 3D manipulation of paper.

Jackie has travelled extensively, with a sketchbook always being her constant companion and sketches forming the backbone of her work. It is only back in the studio that her imagination and ideas flow into another dimension.

Jackie’s work is well published and collected internationally. She has exhibited widely throughout the UK and France, USA and Japan. She has shown in Cork Street, London; Mayfair; Bankside and Menier Galleries with the SGFA; Bankside Gallery with the RWS and SGFA; Mall Galleries with the RI; Westminster Gallery with the SWA, as well as having had numerous solo and shared exhibitions. Jackie is also a Member of the Society of East Anglian Watercolourists.
