"Handmade Oxford and looking forwards....."

I am delighted to be taking part once again in the Waterperry House international festival of creative art, on the site of the original ART IN ACTION.

This is now run by Handmade Oxford, and is running from 23-26 June. I shall be there representing Missenden School of Creative Arts, where I'll be running two 2-hour workshops.

Bookings are being taken so if you would like a mini workshop experience, Jackie Devereux style, do go onto the Handmade Oxford website and join in.

Waterperry House near Oxford has beautiful gardens, tea rooms, garden centre and the original Art in Action Gallery Open all year. I shall be delivering some new works there on Saturday 25 June.

Apart from this, for me it's been as always a busy period with various exhibitions, most recently from the iconic Mall Galleries, London, to the beautiful market town of Stamford, Lincolnshire.

With various courses this Spring now under my belt, I am now preparing some exciting ideas for Missenden Abbey Summer School in mid-August.

For details look at their website - www.missendenschoolofcreativearts.co.uk

Incorporating experimental exercises and 'happy accidents', my intention is to encourage a more abstracted take on the world around us, and because of the nature of watercolour in close contact with delicious black Indian Ink, expecting the unexpected is beyond exciting and learning to look, and actually see, and then to be able to interpret in a free and confident way, is key.......and infinitely possible.

I shall show latest images in my next Blog, or why not join me and make your own.
Meanwhile, have fun.

Jackie Devereux
